Parker Vector Fountain Pen – Excellent,
Excellent pen – good value for money, solidly built, good colour red – not too bright, bought for 12yr boy for school use who loves it – ‘easy to write with’. Also bought converter for bottled ink as only comes with cartridge which is expensive compared to bottle ink – works well. Pen doesn’t leak, or scratch. Good to hold. Supplied by Websters – ‘does what it says on the tin’ – delivered quite quickly despite Xmas rush & packaged well. Would definitely recommend. Only small gripe – was bought as a gift & would have like to have had an option to have it in a box, but a durable one – tends to get a bit bashed about in a pencil case.

The image on Amazon’s website led me to expect either a choice of nibs or two nibs (interchangeable). In fact, only the medium nib is supplied.
In order to insert the ink cartridge it is necessary to unscrew the two parts of the barrel. I was unable to do this by hand (too tight?) and had to resort to pliers with the jaws softened by a cloth. There is no diagram with the pen to show where the join is – a diagram would have made me more confident about applying the level of force I was obliged to use.
The blister pack was of the variety which creates blisters on the person trying to open it!
The pen itself is… well, fair value for a lowish price.
